My academic journey started in 2018 when I enrolled in at Tandon for computer science. During that time, I was interested in the field of data science, as people kept on comparing data to the new oil (remember that). I took some data science and data visualizatioin classes very early on in my studies, and fell in love with the field of data science. Naturally that converged into machine learning, as I joined the C2Smart center as a machine learning researcher. Even if I didnt know much at that time, I kept on pushing myself towards the machine learning field. Eventually I graduated with my B.S with a masters in sight.
During my M.S, I delved much deeper into deep learning, especially from an engineering perspective. Sure you can know all of the theoretical stuff you learn in class... but no one is going to teach you how to deploy a model in the real world. I learned that through my work experience during my M.S.
